2026 Bloodborne Pathogens Update

For September & October, we will focus on Infection Prevention; not only are preventable infections a huge patient safety issue; but just like readmissions, hospital-acquired infections may not be reimbursable. This makes Infection Prevention practices vital for both patient safety and hospital bottom lines. Infections are largely preventable especially when detailed processes exist, and all the dots are connected faithfully; handwashing being the prime example. Infection Prevention continues to be a vital practice that must be consistent among clinicians to maintain and promote patient safety. During this focus area, our classes will cover Bloodborne Pathogens and Pressure Injuries in Healthcare.
