2025 Bloodborne Pathogens Update

For September and October, our focus will be on Infection Prevention. Preventable infections are a significant patient safety concern, and hospital-acquired infections (HAIs), like readmissions, may not be reimbursable, making infection prevention practices crucial for both patient safety and the bottom line for hospitals. HAIs are largely preventable, especially when well-defined processes are established and routinely followed, with hand hygiene being the prime example. Consistent Infection Prevention practices among clinicians are essential for maintaining and promoting patient safety. During this focus area, our classes will include topics such as Bloodborne Pathogens, Hand Hygiene, and updates on Infection Prevention.
