Preventable infections pose a significant risk to patient safety and may impact hospital finances, as hospital-acquired infections may not be reimbursable. Infections can largely be prevented through detailed processes and consistent adherence to protocols, with handwashing being a prime example. As healthcare providers, it’s our responsibility to prevent these infections. During this focus area, our classes will cover bloodborne pathogens, infection prevention, back injury prevention, and accident investigations.\n\n
